Many people wonder what causes global warming and it is important to be educated on the subject so you can help in playing a part in saving the earth. Many factors cause global warming. Pollution in the air is one of the biggest. Being aware of the elements that cause global warming will help us all come up with solutions in minimizing the effects we are causing.
Carbon dioxide emitted from power plants for our energy sources is one of the biggest leading causes of global warming. The amount of carbon dioxide put into the air from the power plants burning coal is larger than any other type of fuel. If we could find a way to burn natural gas rather than coal entirely, it would make a huge difference.
Carbon dioxide from cars is another factor of what causes global warming. Many people drive large vehicles around that burn a lot of fuel when they should be driving something economical. If people would find other methods of transportation like taking the bus and riding a bike to work, it would help reduce global warming also. Many people complain they live too far away to ride a bike or take the bus, but they can carpool with other people. Instead of six cars in your neighborhood driving into the city, only one car can take everyone. Carbon dioxide is also emitted from buildings and airplanes, which are leading distributors.
Another major factor to what causes global warming is deforestation. The world is losing millions of acres of trees each year. The trees are what absorb the carbon in the air, which is causing major problems. Cutting down all of the trees is assisting in killing the atmosphere even faster.
There are many leading factors to what causes global warming. Global warming is dangerous and is rapidly occurring with our consumption of the World’s energy resources. We must find ways to slow down global warming and save our planet. This includes carpooling and saving on excessive use of petroleum, recycling paper and cans, and not printing excessive things. Never waste paper and always recycle. We should save on energy and find alternate ways for our light sources. Solar powered panels and candles are good sources of light. We all should do our part and help eliminate what causes global warming.
